How the timelapse camera runs on site

Mount the housing, connect the power cable and switch the system on. On the TLR-Bridge you set the capture interval, the weekdays and whether the camera shoots around the clock or only within a time window. From then on the GoPro takes a photo on schedule in up to 5.3K resolution, and the Bridge sends every image over 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi to TLR-Cloud.

In the cloud you see the latest image and the whole gallery in your browser, get an alert when uploads stop, and render the finished timelapse film with one click. The housing keeps out rain, dust and frost, and continuous power replaces battery swaps, so the schedule keeps running whether anyone visits the site or not.

With or without a subscription

In local mode the system works fully without a subscription: the schedule runs on the Bridge, the images stay on the memory card or an external SSD. For remote access and basic cloud functions there is a free TimelapseRobot plan at no monthly cost. Paid plans are optional and only needed for more storage, sharing pages and advanced automation and notification features.

Who the kit is built for, and what happens afterwards

Construction companies, infrastructure projects, property developers and agencies use the kit for projects that run from a few months to several years. One camera position, one power connection, and the whole build is documented without site visits.

When the project is finished, the GoPro comes out of the housing and works as a normal action camera again: all standard GoPro accessories are included, and nothing about the camera is modified. Housing and Bridge go straight onto the next site.

A great product, with responsive support should you need it. By far the most stable way I've found of using a GoPro for long term timelapse. I look forward to seeing how the products develop!

Frequently asked questions

Which GoPro is included, and can I use my own?
The kit ships with a GoPro HERO 13. If you already own a HERO 12 or HERO 13, order the TLR-Bridge and the weatherproof enclosure separately instead of the complete kit.
Does the camera need mains power on site?
Yes. The kit is built for continuous power and ships with an interior cable and a 5 m exterior cable. For sites without a permanent supply, read our guide on power for long-term construction timelapse cameras before you plan the installation.
How is the housing mounted?
The housing has 1/4", 3/8" and M5 threads on the bottom and the side, so it fits tripods and standard camera hardware. For poles, walls and scaffolding we recommend the camera mounting arm, which is sold separately.
How fast does the kit ship, and can I order without VAT?
We dispatch within 1–2 business days, and shipping is priced by country (from €9.90 in Austria, shown in the cart). Businesses with a VAT ID can request a quote without VAT using the form on this page.
